George Schaub

Photography has provided me with a way of making a living and living a life that has led me down streets I might never have traveled and meeting with amazing people I might never have met. I grew up with a dye transfer and black and white lab in my basement and a camera in my hand. I learned the tools and techniques of the trade from mentors and masters and honed my vision through study and practice. I spent many years combining my love of writing with the expressive instincts that seeing and making images provides. It has engaged me on so many levels and took me on a ride around the world, whether it be as a teacher, editor, illustrator, reporter or author, and I wouldn’t have had it any other way.
