Ellie Young

I founded Gold Street Studios in 1999 although I think it may have found me. Having international photographers venture down under to share their skills is exciting not only for students but a great privilege giving me endless joy.  As the center for alternative photographic print processes in Australia and New Zealand, I am fortunate 20 years later to still attract local and international participants discovering the magic art, craft and science of traditional handmade and early photographic print processes.  I self-published The Salt Print Manual in 2011 and have exhibited and published widely. Teaching various processes in China has allowed these craft and skill to be shared with the arts and photographic community across China.
