Craig Stevens
Craig Stevens has been teaching photography since 1972. He received his MFA from Ohio University. Stevens helped create the Residence Program at the Maine Photographic Workshops now Maine Media Workshops. He served as Associate Director of the Workshops until 1987. Since 1987 Craig has been on the Faculty of the Savannah College of Art and Design and holds the position of Professor Emeritus. Craig taught and directed the Provence Photographic Workshops from 1982-2002 and taught Workshops at the Santa Fe Photographic Workshops, the Anderson Ranch Art Center in Snowmass Village, Colorado and other venues internationally. He served as Workshop Director of the 25th Annual Rencontres International de la Photographie in Arles, France. Craig was the first person awarded the Susan Carr Educator of the Year Award by ASMP in 2013. Craig splits time between Savannah, Georgia and Camden, Maine where he continues to explore the limits of photographic printmaking in both analog and digital media.
