Arnold Newman
(1918-2006) Arnold Newman started his career making 49 cent studio portraits in Philadelphia and finished having photographed 10 presidents and most of the world’s prominent people. With a gift for composition and design, his environmental portraits, still life abstracts and photographic style were revered, celebrated, published and exhibited universally. He will long be remembered by workshop students for his informative and funny stories during slide show presentations and thought-provoking portrayals into the lives of contemporary icons. Arnold died in 2006 but his legacy cannot be forgotten.
